"The Wrangell Harvest Fair was held last weekend and drew 40
Wrangellites and a slew of participants bringing in their best soups,
produce and baked goods.
Highlights of the Fair included the first showing of produce from
Wrangell’s new community garden, cut flowers from gardens around town and out the road and the annual Harvest Awards.
Taking Best in Show was Sharon Gillespie’s Begonia Flower Arrangement and Biggest Delphinium stalk.
Max Voltz won the Oddball prize with a double carrot.
Melissa Cady won the Most Colorful award for her produce arrangement.
Emily Cox conquered the judges’ pallets with the Best Soup award-
winning ‘Drunken Potato Soup’.
The 2010 iteration of the Harvest Fair built on the success of the
2009 inaugural year."
